NEW RECORD COMING IN SUMMER 2013!
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for the outpouring of love and support for the new music-in-the-making and ensuring that it will see the light of day and be released next year! Thanks to YOU we raised over $15,000 through Kickstarter to fund this new record! My mind is blown and my heart is thankful. Thank you for your donations, for all the emails, the Facebook messages, for spreading the word & sharing the link with your friends and family, but mostly...for believing in this vision just as much as I do. The year 2012 has seen my heart go to hell and back more than a time or two, and my spirit tested again and again...but I can look back on this year and be thankful for the perspective and peace I've been able to find after every storm. And thankfully enough, I have the opportunity to capture those experiences in a song and share them with the world in hopes that they will inspire others. The ability to share these struggles and triumphs on a new CD is a HUGE blessing! My "job" is pretty freakin amazing :)
I'm joining forces with Grammy Award-winning songwriter & musician, Jim "Moose" Brown to create this dream album! On top of playing on just about every big country record that's hit radio the last 10 years, he's also written songs for the likes of Martina McBride, Josh Turner, James Otto and a little Alan Jackson/Jimmy Buffet duet that spent 8 weeks at #1 called "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere"! Oh, and did I mention he's been touring with BOB SEGER as part of the Silver Bullet Band the last 10 years?! No biggie, right? Ha! Well, I want to bring my friends & fans alike along for every step of this musical whirlwind, from videos, blogs, and photos to hitting the road on tour...I'm taking you with me, so get ready! :)
I'm blending my two homes...Motown and Nashville, for a sound and style that's undoubtedly unique, soulful, and leaves no question in anyone's mind that I was born to sing these songs. I CAN'T WAIT! Look for behind-the-scenes photos and videos of us in the studio in January 2013!
